The living room is often the most important place of the home. It's where you sit with your family, friends and where you go to relax at the end of a long day. So, how do you go about decorating it?
You obviously need seating, that goes without saying. Pick a seat that represents you, something that you'll be happy to sit in and be surrounded by! If you hate the color brown, don't buy a brown couch! If you think you'd like a feminine look, maybe pick something floral.
Your tables should come right after your seating. It's great to have something that matches your seating but it doesn't have to be identical! For example, striped couches and striped tables and striped carpet can be overwhelming! I always recommend sticking to a color scheme. If you have a black couch, you may go with white tables and a black and white carpet. You can switch the colors between the items but just make sure something is there to pull everything together and make it look like the items belong with each other!
